Adult ADHD Evaluation & Treatment in Everett, WA

Focus is possible. Let’s find what works for your brain.

A careful adult ADHD evaluation, a clear answer, and a treatment plan that fits real life — in person in Everett or by telehealth anywhere in Washington.

Understanding ADHD

ADHD in adults.

ADHD doesn’t end at 18, and many adults are only recognized years later — often after a lifetime of hearing they were “smart but not trying.” For adults, ADHD rarely looks like bouncing off the walls. It looks like a desk full of half-finished projects, chronic lateness, missed deadlines despite real effort, and the exhaustion of constantly compensating.

Getting an accurate answer matters. Anxiety, depression, sleep problems, and trauma can all affect attention, and they often show up alongside ADHD. Our evaluation looks at the whole picture so your treatment targets what is actually going on.

Common signs

  • Trouble starting or finishing tasks
  • Losing track of time, keys, or appointments
  • Restlessness or difficulty sitting through meetings
  • Easily distracted, even by your own thoughts
  • Impulsive decisions or interrupting others
  • Hyperfocus on some things, can’t engage with others
  • Feeling chronically behind or overwhelmed
  • Emotional ups and downs, low frustration tolerance

Only a qualified clinician can diagnose a mental health condition. If several of these sound familiar, an evaluation is a good next step.

How We Help

ADHD treatment, step by step.

Care led by Annabel Sema, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC — a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with 10+ years of experience.

01

A Thorough Adult Evaluation

We review your current challenges, your childhood history, and how symptoms affect work, school, and relationships — and we screen for conditions that can mimic or accompany ADHD.

02

A Clear Diagnosis

You leave with an honest explanation of what we found, what it means, and what your options are — whether or not the answer is ADHD.

03

Medication, If It Fits

When medication is appropriate, we discuss stimulant and non-stimulant options, benefits, side effects, and the monitoring and prescribing rules that apply, so you can decide with full information.

04

Skills for Daily Life

Practical, ADHD-informed strategies for planning, time, and follow-through — because medication helps attention, but systems help life run.

How telehealth works
Frequently Asked

Common questions.

Can adults be diagnosed with ADHD for the first time?

Yes. Many adults are first diagnosed in their 20s, 30s, or later. ADHD symptoms begin in childhood, so part of the evaluation looks back at your early years, but a first-time diagnosis in adulthood is common.

Can I get an ADHD evaluation by telehealth?

In many cases, yes. Telehealth is available anywhere in Washington. Depending on your situation and the treatment you choose, some steps may need to happen in person — we’ll explain this clearly up front.

Will I be prescribed a stimulant?

Not automatically. Treatment is based on your evaluation, health history, and preferences. Stimulant and non-stimulant medications both have a role, and some people do best with skills-based strategies alone or in combination.

Do you treat children with ADHD?

Our practice cares for adults 18 and older. If you’re looking for care for a child, we’re happy to point you toward pediatric resources.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.
